TIL that the rear bumpers on the Revell kit are just wrong. I know, you’re shocked right? Here’s a shot of the kit bumpers. These are just roughed in for fit, because I was having a hard time making them fit. Now look carefully at the image on the right. See the flat section in the bumper under the molded recess for the tail light? (Same on both sides)
totally fictional. Doesn’t exist on the real car. And the overrider actually, y’know, “overrides” the end of the bar. Oh, and btw, that recess for the tail lights? Yeah that’s fiction too….
This is a Series 1. When I noticed it, I started looking through more photos and sure enough they’re ALL this way until the ugly ass Series 3s. How did I miss this before? So you know what this means? Yeah, I’ve got to fix the numbers and make proper overrides. And probably fix the tail lights as well. (Sigh)
