1/ Cutting:

2/ Put back in place:

I used this tool:

Cutting of the floor:

Problem, the back of the spare wheel goes up too high and prevents putting a cover:

It does not go forward enough because it is limited by the curvature and thickness of the plastic.
Solution: Change the shape of the curvature and reduce the thickness. For this, a small cut is necessary:

Now the wheel goes down enough:

All that remains is to replace what is to be cut...to be followed....
Sorry, my English is bad but I hope it will be easy to understand just by looking at the photographs.
Gorgeous hinges! Excellent photos! Thank you!
Beautifully engineered, Ed Bird!
Hi Chris,
Yeah that is what I discovered even at the beginning tries, as I said had several different hinges that I purchased and the ones the did work even though barely did lift a bit before it began to swing out. Just not enough in my mind. Once I was stuck in the water to say, I began searching for pictures of real ones and came across the ones I used. And right away when I saw them I knew they would lift better then swing.
Not the I have not failed on other times I have tried on model making and learned, I think the panic I had when the ones failed, pushed me to try again and a good learning experience. Can't find it - make it. Can't wait to see what goes wrong next!!

Yes did have a few problems with the rear hatch hinges. Over a year ago I thought about doing it, so got a spare body to see if 1. can I cut it out - yes I did. 2 can I make hinges - don't think so. So I searched and located some various design hinges and tried them out. I did get a set to work, although just barely. But when I went to do it on the actual build I must have "pulled" something tight as it would not work at all. Great now what??
So I thought I guess I better try to make my own. Found a good picture of them, so made some scaled down decals of them and attached then to a piece of plastic. Long story short - They work! So from now on if I need hinges - will do myself.
Very cool. Its' going to be great seeing this with the spare tyre in place.
Hopefully Ed says hi on this one as I know he did a lot of head scratching to come up with working hinges for the hatch. There are some pretty interesting angles getting those to work well.
By the way, your English and translation is absolutely fine, and as always, a picture is worth a thousand words!
Great! I like your solution for fitting the "spare" tire.
