Ok, as you should all know I've been working on a new stand-alone forum. I won't cover the reasons again but suffice to say, I am ready to have you all start to switch over to the new one.
Please use the new forum from today as in time the old one (here) is being discontinued by the store hosting company.
The new forum is below:
You will notice it is very different in design from the (current - previous) existing forum.
The flow is much more logical, more traditional in layout and categories, and the new posts and replies make much more sense.
Now, I would like to point out that while the forum is usable and largely how it will be, you may still see some slight changes and enhancements over time as I adjust descriptions, categories, change permissions around... basically behind the scenes house-keeping.
A few points to note:
You will need to make a new user account for the forum. I do apologise for that however there is no way to transfer over your existing data.
You do need to make a few posts before you can send private messages (this is more of a security thing to avoid ''dump and run'' type insults and problems).
I am in the process of transferring over ALL the current forum posts. I need to do this one at a time with the images so I have completed many recent posts and will work to get the others transferred over the next week.
You can start to post under the correct categories, and you will note, seeing as you are all mostly here for the 1/8 Jaguar builds, I have given that a separate category under 1/8 Scale Models.
I will be adding more sub-categories over time in response to the direction the forum takes but I would like it to be more encompassing. I know many of you build all types of kits so I wanted to make a place you can post those builds etc .
Posting of pics is a little tricky the first time but once you've done it, it's easy.

Down the bottom of the area for your text you will see the labels ''OPTIONS ATTACHMENTS POLL CREATION''
Select ATTACHMENTS and upload your pics there.
Under that you can choose to PLACE INLINE to include it in your text for descriptions.
Make sure you select PREVIEW or SUBMIT once done to make it live.
You'll also note I've made the standard fonts quite large. Well, ain't none of us getting any younger so to speak!!
I've also appointed a couple of forum moderators to keep you rowdy bunch in line. I don't want this to be a police state forum, but as I am on one side of the planet and occasionally sleep, having some extra eyes on the other side will be helpful. At the moment as it builds momentum it will be easy to manage, but as I have this as a stand-alone site, in time I hope there is a lot more activity which will bring more need for extra ''helpers''.
Finally, I've designed this new forum to be a place for all of us, so if you come across anything that needs attention, other categories, or just moving things around, please let me know and I will amend accordingly.
Thanks as always for your support and understanding as I grow the site and forum. Your feedback so far has been very encouraging and I am enjoying this journey of creating a place for like minded people.
