Hello everyone.
My name is Gilles and I live in France. Forgive my bad English, I use a translator to write to you.
I started by filling one of the many gaps in the model. It is the rear part that supports the sub-chassis
The sidereal void of the model:

A photo of a real car:

I started by cutting a sheet of styrene to fill the space:

Then I made a cardboard template:

Some cuts, adjustments and collages later here is the result:

Still a lot of work to do to finish it......

In order to facilitate the final assembly, I chose to fasten together the different sub-assemblies using bolts.
I started by connecting the floor (in black) with the underside of the body (in red)
Manufacture of two supports with a welded screw:
:in place on the left:
and to the right
Here is the back part of the floor.
The two vertical screws have the same function as those presented above, when to the four others of which we only see the head, connect the floor/base assembly to the rear part:

Gilles, again very nice work!

Hello Colin and thank you for your welcome and your appreciations.
I plan to take many things from this kit, for example the engine, the engine frame that I would make in brass, at least I will try, the suspensions. There is so much to improve..... Your beautiful parts will be a valuable help
Hi Gilles. Wow, that's fantastic work. Your solution to joining the floor sections is exactly the same as mine, but you've gone much further with the structure around the rear suspension cradle. I think I'll have to copy yours!!

Welcome to the forum Gilles. Great to see your work. Very clean, and I really like the rear sub-frame assembly.
I have a lot of great customers in France building all sorts of models so I look forward to seeing your build come together.
What other upgrades do you have planned for your Jag build?
